I used to do a lot of traveling and photographing. For many places, I really don’t have enough photo to do separate blog posts – so thought I’d start combining photos from various places into a series of photos from the road. Hope you enjoy seeing the scenes from some of my travels.

Walking Around Ceasar’s Palace and the Flamingo in Las Vegas

I was looking back to some photos I took earlier this year, I realized I’d never really looked at some of the photos I took in Las Vegas earlier this year. I spent a couple of days just walking around the hotels and the Strip photographing. It’s not my usual style of photography – but I did have a great time – and came home with photos unlike most of usual photos.

Spectacular Details at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas

Earlier this year I spent a few days in Las Vegas. My big take away is not a place I’d ever want to live – but a fun place to spend time photographing (and people watching). I spent several hours walking around the Bellagio Hotel photographing details that caught my eye. The botanical garden had a Chinese New Year display featuring lots of chrysanthemums. Here are a few of my photos from the Bellagio.

I found plenty photograph at the Bellagio. I also enjoyed a spectacular lobster omelet for brunch one morning!

Photos from the Road: Zion National Park, Valley of Fire State Park and Las Vegas

I’m back from an amazing trip photographing in Nevada and Utah. I went west to take a Contemplative Photography workshop with George DeWolfe and Lydia Goetze where we photographed in Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada and Zion National Park in Utah. I also spent time photographing on the strip in Las Vegas on either end of the trip.

The photos I’m sharing today are some of my favorites from the trip. These are quick edits usually done late at night after a long day spent photographing – so these aren’t “finished” photographs by any stretch of the imagination.
