I’ve recently added a new photo – Majestic Oak – to the shop on my BeautifulFlowerPictures.com website.

The more I photograph in South Carolina and Georgia, the more I’ve fallen in love with Spanish Moss. There’s just something about the way it picks up the light as it drapes on the Live Oak Trees. I took this photo of Spanish Moss on the branches of a live oak tree known as Majestic Oak in Savannah, Georgia. I wanted to share the feeling of being under one of these magnificent trees with you.
Majestic Oak is available as a matted print on my website.

On my recent trip to South Carolina and Georgia, I spent some time photographing on a couple of beaches. Even though it was a bit chilly and windy – I still had a wonderful time – there’s always something wonderful about being on the beach even in January.

The third cemetery I photographed at on my recent trip to Savannah was Bonaventure Cemetery. Bonaventure is one of my favorite cemeteries to photograph at, and is probably the one where I fell in love with photographing cemeteries. It was the first place I’d had a chance to photograph the spectacular angel and other statutes seen in cemeteries starting in the 1800s. I try to visit Bonaventure Cemetery every time I make it to Savannah.
Here are a few of my photos from my most recent trip to Bonaventure Cemetery.

I’m already looking forward to my next visit to Savannah – I can’t wait to get back to some of the amazing cemeteries and do some more photography!

On my recent trip to Savannah, one of the cemeteries I photographed was Greenwich Cemetery. Established in 1933, Greenwich Cemetery is technically known as the Greenwich addition to Bonaventure Cemetery on the grounds of the old Greenwich Plantation.
Here are a few of the photos I took at Greenwich Cemetery.

One of the new-to-me sites I photographed at on my recent trip to Savannah was Majestic Oak. Like Angel Oak in Charleston, Majestic Oak is a spectacular live oak tree. No one is sure exactly how old Majestic Oak is – but estimates are it may be at over 300 years old.
Here are some of my photos of this spectacular tree.

On my recent trip to Savannah I spent some time photographing at Laurel Grove Cemetery North. Founded in 1852, this was cemetery for white residents of Savannah, including many Confederate soldiers and veterans. Nearby was Laurel Grove Cemetery South which was the cemetery for slaves and free blacks. I didn’t have a chance to visit Laurel Grove Cemetery South on this trip, I hope to visit on my next trip to Savannah.
