Gazelle Powers

Gazelle Powers

In December 2019, I had the chance to work with Gazelle Powers, a local fine-art figure model. I shared my ideas for my Kodak Girls inspired series with her and she arrived for our session full of ideas, and with some wonderful outfits. I can’t wait to work with Gazelle again once it is safe to reopen our studio.

Bill and I had the pleasure of working with Wayne Sequoyah Bladen not long before we had to close our studio for in-person sessions due to Covid. I’ve recently edited the photos from a wonderfully fun afternoon in the studio with Wayne.

Photographs from a remote session with Anoush Anou in late 2020. One of the good things to come out of the pandemic is the ability to work with models at a distance – Anoush was in her home in Ohio, and I was in my basement in Maryland – when these photographs were created!

In February 2020, I attended a workshop created by Marie Otero with figure model Ivory Flame. This image of Ivory Flame with a Fan of Feathers is just one of several incredible images I took at the workshop.

I’ve been very fortunate to work with Ivory Flame – a wonderful figure model – a couple of times. Here are some of my favorite photos from our sessions. As always – photographs created with models are always a collaboration of artists. So Thank You Ivory Flame for all your help in creating these images.

Gazelle Powers

Gazelle Powers

A few weeks ago, Bill and I spent a wonderful socially-distanced morning working with one of our favorite models Gazelle Powers. Most of the photos I took were part of my Inspired by the Kodak Girls series, and I took a few portraits of Gazelle. As always, the photographs were created in partnership with Gazelle – I shared my concept for the session with her – she brought the outfits, and the ideas for poses. I can’t wait to work with Gazelle again next spring
