I don’t know about you, but spring is my favorite time of year. The days are getting longer, the temperatures are rising and the flowers are blooming. Which means by about the middle of February, I’m usually getting a case of almost springitis where all I can do is think about all the wonderful flowers I’ll be out photographing soon.
This year we haven’t had much snow in the DC area, but is has been cold and windy and gray. So I’m ready for spring. Only 31 more days until the first day of Spring on March 20 – and even fewer until I really start seeing the daffodils and crocuses blooming in the neighborhood and local gardens.

In case any of you are as ready for spring as I am, I thought I’d share a few photos from last spring to remind all of us what we have to look forward to.

If you’d like to come photograph flowers with me this spring, I will be teaching two flowers photography workshops this year. The first is May 15-20 where we’ll be exploring gardens in the Philadelphia area. The second is June 9-11 where we’ll be exploring gardens in the Washington DC area. You can read about both workshops on my website:

Gardens of Philadelphia: http://beautifulflowerpictures.com/photographing-gardens-philadelphia/

Gardens of Washington DC: http://beautifulflowerpictures.com/photographing-flowers-without-swearing-2017

If you  have any questions about either workshop, just drop me a note and we’ll find time to talk.
