One of the quieter spots at Christmas at Longwood Gardens is the Peirce-du Pont House. This was the home of the du Pont family on the Longwood Estate, and each year features more traditional Christmas decorations than the ones in the conservatory. The Peirce-du Pont House also features the Longwood Heritage Exhibit about the history of the estate and families who lived there.

The bird theme of this year’s A Longwood Christmas continues from the conservatory to the du Pont house.

  Glad you enjoyed seeing the photos from duPont house. If you go back next Christmas – be sure to check it out – it’s always a little more traditional and understated than the decorations in the Conservatory – and I love seeing the exhibits on how Longwood developed 🙂
